Wound Cleansing with Saline Tutorial – Hampshire RFU Wound Care Series

If you’re pitch side and need a quick, easy and more eco friendly way to clean a wound, saline solution is an excellent alternative to wipes.

In this video, Suzi Le Voi, Head Medic at Hampshire Rugby Football Union (HRFU) demonstrates a technique for cleaning out a wound using saline solution.

Other good options for flushing out a wound would be Sterile Eye Wound Wash Pods Pack of 25 or Water Spray Bottle

While this video gives a great demonstration, we would recommend that you don’t try to treat wounds unless you are medically trained.
