England Netball Taping Series – Thumb Sprain Taping Tutorial

Blocking or catching the ball, or players putting their hands out to break a fall can easily result in thumb sprains or even dislocations in netball players. Taping the thumb can provide support to the joint after a sprain.

We collaborated with England Netball on this video as Nick Carpenter-Brooks, Pathway Physiotherapist, takes us through an example for strapping a thumb using Tiger Tapes available from Physique.

While this video shows a great example of taping for thumb sprains, we recommend you don’t try to tape yourself unless you are medically trained and always seek medical advice for injuries.

This video is part of our England Netball Taping Series which demonstrates a range of taping techniques and tutorials for netball.
