Actimove® Rhizo Forte

This order was to replace the one I bought in 2020 so it has lasted well. It really helps with my painful thumb joint and I can wear it to wash up as it is waterproof.

Excellent thumb / wrist support, swift delivery.

Totally amazing wow the best one I have ever tried totally works .I have tried lots of others they are bulky and dont work as well all landed up in the bin

This omg as soon as I put it on it was the best thing ever

I have boxers thumb after a boxing injury ,this brace so so works and it's not bulky and really helps to immobilize the thumb but you can use your hand

I totally recommend it ,it was expensive and in the beginning I did not get it because if the high cost but wow I am really pleased I brought it I should of got it straight away

Don't waist your money on the other braces as I did go get this one straight away you won't be disappointed

A well made brace which should last a long time. Easy to use but only time will tell how effective it is in alleviating the pain. A little pricey.

Not sure why the other reviewer complained of sharp velcro. I've worn one of these periodically on both hands, they've reversed the build up of osteo arthritic pain in the thumb joint through imobilising it. It takes a couple of weeks for the inflammation to settle but for me the moment you put one of these on, the pain eases which is such a relief. Highly recommend.

Great product to help relax thumb joint. Not comfortable to wear but very effective.

I had to return the product. The Velcro retaining straps have very sharp edges and left very sore abrasions on the back of my hand.

Excellent product. Bought this due to golfers thumb /DeQuervain tendinitis) which has been bothering me for months. Originally bought a cheaper Neo-G brace that provided absolutely zero thumb support. Rhizo forte is malleable and so adjusts to shape of hand and completely immobilises base of thumb whilst leaving all other fingers and top of thumb free.

The straps crossing back of hand could be more comfortable hence 4 stars not 5. Highly recommend

Sadly the product wasn’t suitable for my needs and was causing pain at the site of the arthritis in my thumb.

However, I was most impressed at the prompt delivery and the courtesy of your customer service lady.

Very poor packaging - box badly crushed, though contents undamaged. The devise itself (but not Physique) was recommenced by NHS hospital hand physio unit, but it didn't have ne this size to try on me before purchase Bought it on trust but after trying it on myself it seemed too tight, Next appointment with physio not till a month later.

Agent refused to accept return if worn at all beyond 1st attempt, or tried out during period while awaiting physio checking fit, seemed callous. Placing profit before empathy, the bottom line above basic human empathy; in fairness to her, the agent did refer me to a YouTube instructional video; useful, but obviously not the same as having it fitted properly onto my painful hand & thumb post-surgery by a professionally trained physiotherapist.

No problem, just one of those things, and a simple lesson learned from it: don't buy from items from Physique ever again.

Once you have modded the plastic to fit around your hand it’s great. Since first shaping it has stayed in position, great straps and quality plastic. Very happy and recommend.

I have bought many supports to help my left wrist and thumb joint after breaking my scaphoid bone several years ago, most have been v disappointing. This however is a great support allowing me to put weight on my hand properly again. Would recommend.

As explained to Holly the palm criss cross is excellent ,but in my case the moulded section from the thumb and first finger pinched my palm and as I am on blood thinners this caused bruising in my palm.

It’s not true to sizes given, can be uncomfortable wearing

Very uncomfortable to wear, the plastic frame was hard and though I fiddled with it I couldnt get a more comfortable fit.

I have returned it. a pity the idea is great but a softer type of plastic would have been more sympathetic.

Useful product, although you do have to spend some time fitting it correctly to ensure it provides the support required. Not that comfortable over long periods, but I need to regularly flex the thumb anyway

I needed a washable solution for my thumb pain as I work in healthcare and wash/sanitise my hands after each patient.

The Actimove Thumb Support is the perfect solution, easy to fit and comfortable to wear, my pain is easing now.

Very useful Support that imobilises my thumb joint and stops the pain.

Supports the thumb well, but takes a bit of getting used to.

After 10 days my left thumb joint is much recovered. Good product but expensive

Really relieves the aches I get in the evening and helps when I am supermarket shopping! Can’t use it in work but that’s fine.

This is second thumb support in 18 months , I do wear it whilst gardening and other jobs and it tends to get quite a bashing and requires cleaning at regular intervals , I find the velcro on the thumb fixing can work loose , It is comfortable to wear and reduces the ache in the thumb joint, I have cortisone injections every 3 months to control inflammation , I have not used the support just on its own.

I find it difficult to wear any sort of brace or splint or jewellery on my body so I didn’t give this rhizo thumb support a proper chance with my daily activities.

I have, however, just finished a crossfit session involving throwing a large medicine ball high against a wall and catching it again. I put on the support for the whole session and it proved invaluable. It protected my arthritic left thumb beautifully and I felt no discomfort during or after the session.

I was very glad I had it and will get used to wearing it a lot more, definitely while exercising. It also doesn’t prevent my wrist from getting the movement it needs to stay strong. I would highly recommend it.

I’ve only given 4 stars as I would like to test the longevity of the Velcro straps as I’ve not had it long but so far, so good.

Very good product. Well made and easy to use. Instructions for size very easy to follow. My only criticism is that it would be better if the thumb support was longer so that I extended to the lower thumb joint.

Great product. My only concerns are that the plastic at the thumb knuckle is hard and does not allow the thumb joint which is not arthritic to move pinching skins and making thumb joint tissue sore. Also not sure how long velcro will last. This said i am very happy with purchase, best yet.

Delivery was quick. The thumb support is excellent. Gives much better support than others that I’ve tried. It took a few goes to work out how best to fit it (the instructions are not that good). However I think that I have got it right now and my thumb feels more comfortable already

I’ve tried a number of these supports and this is by far the best and most comfortable to wear for extended periods. This is my second, I wore the out after a year of use!

The Actimove thumb orthosis was recommended to me by my physio therapist after receiving therapy for nerve damage to my left arm and for osteoarthritis of my left thumb.

It has been an invaluable and essential aid when carrying out my work on checkouts. This is the second one I have purchased as I keep other one for gardening. Couldn't be without it.

It is very good but can't wear it for too long as it gets uncomfortable after a while

Excellent product. Doctor wanted to put me in a cast for my dislocated and fractured thumb but this combined with some self adhesive bandage worked much better and was much more practical. Will continue to wear occasionally when doing activities that might hurt my thumb. I got size small based on the measurement here but there were other measurements on the box that suggested size medium would've been better.

I can't find anything that helps my thumb stop being painful than Actimove Rhizo Thumb Support. It’s brilliant. I was given my first one at Addenbrookes Hospital. It’s great.

Great support for my thumb and it can easily be washed off after mucky gardening jobs.

I thought the service was excellent and you did what you said. The delivery was flawless and I could have accepted the high charge, but the product is poor. I ordered the largest size but still no matter how I manipulate the fitting, find it uncomfortable. The product appears poorly designed, cheap and nasty, relative to the high price.

Bought to immobilise my thumb which has osteoarthritis. Works well and is mostly very comfortable and less sweaty than another device of this type that I have been using. Would be perfect if straps were more comfortable.
