Specially designed, tested and made bespoke for Songbird, they are formed from sturdy reinforced cardboard and are fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Songbird Cooling and Soothing Balm is used for work on specific body areas. While not intended as an all-over Massage Wax, it applies easily and is commonly used by professionals for deep tissue work and after strenuous activity. Arnica, Hypericum, Yarrow and Chamomile are known to have anti-inflammatory properties and are ingredients used in the Cooling and Soothing Balm. Yarrow gives the formula it's unusual blue colouring, and menthol provides a cooling sensation in areas where it has been used. This product has a much higher percentage of Arnica in it, compared to the Massage Waxes. It is Songbird's premier product for Sports Injury work and is commonly used by Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Sports and Remedial Therapists and sports men and women themselves, especially after a rough, bumpy and strenuous game...
It has a very pleasant scent and is often used after marathons, rugby and football games and sports in which repetitive movement and contact are common problems.
Caution:
Cooling and Soothing Balm should not be used anywhere near the eyes and is contra-indicated for pregnancy.
Ingredients
Olive Oil, Beeswax, Menthol, Arnica Flower Extract, Essential Oil of Yarrow, Essential Oil of Chamomile, Hypericum Flower Extract and Natural Vitamin E
Citral, Geraniol, Limonene and Linalool are naturally occurring, declarable constituent ingredients of the relevant essential oils.
All of the Songbird products are 100% Natural and are IFRA and EU 1223/2009 compliant.

This was recommended to me after having hip surgery to use on the scar. It has worked well. Sadly it does stain your clothes if you are not careful, but it is better than something like E45 cream so still worth using.
The menthol smell is quite strong but does go off so it’s ok.
Have bought another so must be ok!
