Ospreys

Physique | Official Physiotherapy Product Supplier
Tiger Tapes | Official Sports Tape and Strapping Supplier

Founded in 2003, Ospreys are one of four professional rugby union teams in Wales. Based at the Swansea.com Stadium, they currently compete in the United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup.

Why Ospreys work with us:

"As a company, Physique has an extensive range of products which is great when you’re working at an elite level of sport.

Especially for Rugby which, being a contact sport, means the players you’re looking after need constant care and support to stay in top condition.

We're also excited to be creating content with Physique, the aim being to educate and inspire all levels of rugby from grassroots to professionals.”

- Chris Towers, Medical Performance Manager for Ospreys Rugby

How our partnership works:

Physique is the Official Physiotherapy Product Supplier and Tiger Tapes is the Official Taping and Strapping Supplier to the team.

We provide the medical team with the medical, physiotherapy and taping & strapping supplies they need to help look after the players.

Taking our partnership further:

As well as supplying the team with the physiotherapy and medical supplies they need, we’ve also collaborated on educational videos demonstrating taping techniques to educate the rugby community and beyond.

Ankle Taping Technique - Ospreys Rugby

In this video, the Ospreys Rugby medical team demonstrate an ankle taping and strapping technique. This example of ankle taping helps prevent ankle injuries and roll over.

You can find all of the Osprey's taping technique videos here.

Dynamic Movement Exercises and Their Stage Progressions.

In this video Kat Lenan, Performance Rehab Lead at Ospreys Rugby demonstrates some examples of dynamic movement exercises and their stage progression for lower limbs that she uses for Osprey’s players who are rehabbing.

Chain of Survival

When it comes to CPR and resuscitation, Chain of Survival refers to the chain of events that maximise the chances of survival from sudden cardiac arrest.

This video by the medical team at Ospreys Rugby shows a demonstration of the chain of survival steps in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. In this situation it is particularly useful when carrying out resuscitation on the field of play.

It is worth noting that this video is for guidance, it is advised that you only attempt CPR or resuscitation if you have had training and that you call the emergency services immediately if someone goes into cardiac arrest.
