Plantar Fasciitis Kinesiology Taping
Step-by-Step Guide on How to Relieve Plantar Fasciitis with Kinesiology Tape
This video showcases how Tiger K Tape can be used to relieve Plantar Fasciitis pain. The technique showcased by Steve Miller at Grow Physio can be used by physiotherapists to ease pain in the arch and the foot of clients.
Steve uses 3 different lengths (small, medium, and long) of precut Tiger K Tape to provide support for the foot.
1. To prepare the tape, round the edges to prevent it from lifting. In addition, ensure the area you will be applying the tape to is clean and dry.
2. Start by applying a crisscross of the medium strips over the plantar fascia, lateral to medial aspect to provide a lift.
3. Then apply 3 of the small strips along the foot, working from the heel up and again lateral to medial.
4. Finally, to give some extra support to the arch, Steve uses 2 of the long strips along the Tibialis posterior.
